One of Europe's largest transportation providers, Deutsche Bahn gets freight and passengers from Punkt A to Punkt B. More than half of the company's sales come from its freight transport and logistics division, which is led by Schenker. The railway's long-distance, regional, urban passenger transport divisions carry more than 1.8 billion passengers yearly throughout Germany and into neighboring countries over a network of about 34 million km of track. Deutsche Bahn also operates bus services in Germany and holds interests in passenger rail franchises in the UK. Other divisions manage the company's train stations and provide track infrastructure services. Deutsche Bahn is owned by the German government.
