Oil and gas exploration, development, and production company Tullow Oil has focused its energy on exploiting hydrocarbon resources in Africa and Europe, as well as in South America and South Asia. It has interests in more than 85 licenses in 22 countries. In 2008 the company report proved and probable reserves of 825 million barrels of oil equivalent. That year the company reported production of 66,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day. In 2008 it drilled about 100 exploration, appraisal, and developmental wells, including multiple-well initiatives in Ghana and Uganda.
