Rémy Cointreau has been ready with a toast for a rather long time. Its most famous product is cognac, which the company has made under the Rémy Martin name since 1724. In addition to its flagship cognacs, the distiller/vintner produces wines, rums, liqueurs, and champagnes. Divided into four operating segments (cognac, liqueurs and spirits, champagne, and partner brands), the company's labels include Cointreau and Passoa liqueurs, Mount Gay rum, and Charles Heidsieck and Piper-Heidsieck champagnes. The Hériard Dubreuil family controls some 80% of Cointreau.
