The sun never sets on vehicle-selling giant Inchcape. Begun as a shipping and export company during the golden age of the British Empire, Inchcape spans the globe with its automotive distribution, retail, and financing operations. Operating in 25 Asian and European countries, the group distributes primarily BMW, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Honda, Subaru, and Toyota vehicles from about 85 locations. It has more than 200 auto dealerships located primarily in the UK, under its own and European Motor Holdings (EMH) names. Inchcape also owns Autobytel UK, an online car retailer in the UK. (It licenses the name from US-based Autobytel).
