OMNOVA Solutions manufactures performance chemicals and decorative surfaces. The chemicals segment, representing more than half of the company's sales, produces emulsion polymers and specialty chemicals to makers of paper, carpet, and textiles. The decorative products segment makes vinyl- and paper-based wallcoverings, coated fabrics, laminates, and films. Major customers include Patrick Industries, Steelcase, Shaw, and Stora Enso. OMNOVA consolidated ownership in two joint venture in Asia in 2008; the move greatly increased the company's sales to the continent.
