The maker of allergy medicine Allegra specializes in six therapeutic categories: internal medicine (including allergies), cardiovascular disease, thrombosis (blood clots), central nervous system disorders, cancer, and metabolic conditions. Its top sellers include blood thinners Lovenox and Plavix (which it markets with Bristol Myers Squibb), cancer drugs Taxotere and Eloxatine, insulin brand Lantus, and insomnia treatment Ambien. It also one of the largest makers of vaccines through its Sanofi Pasteur subsidiary. The company is Europe's largest pharmaceutical company.
