Displaytech thinks you ought to be in pictures. The company makes ferroelectric liquid-crystal-on-silicon (FLCoS) microdisplays used as electronic viewfinders to frame, focus, and preview images in camcorders and digital still cameras. Displaytech's microdisplays combine the display device with controller and video interface subcomponents for easier integration into OEM products. Customers include Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi, Victor Company of Japan (JVC), Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Olympus, and Sony. The company was established in 1984. Micron Technology acquired Displaytech in 2009.
