Like Hans and Franz of Saturday Night Live fame, Grundfos just wants to pump you up. An international heavyweight in pump manufacturing, the company makes more than 15 million pumps a year. It produces water pumps, including circulator, centrifugal, solar, self-priming, and submersible units. Its circulator pumps are used in heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems. Its industrial pumps are used in process facilities and for plant maintenance. Grundfos also offers pumps for irrigation, greenhouses, and private, municipal, and industrial water supply facilities. Grundfos was established in 1945 by Poul Due Jensen and is owned by the Poul Due Jensen Foundation and Jensen's heirs.
