All around the world, Neopost is going postal in order to catch Pitney Bowes. Neopost is the #2 worldwide manufacturer (behind Pitney Bowes) of mailing and shipping equipment, such as electronic postal scales, automatic letter openers, document-handling and logistics systems, and PC-based shipping and mailing accounting systems. Neopost also provides mailroom furniture design and fitting services, as well as training services for its products. Europe is the company's largest market, generating half of sales, while its hold on the North American market is steadily increasing, at about 40% of sales. Neopost introduced the first franking machine in Europe in the 1920s.
