His eye may be on the sparrow, but Salem Communications hopes His ear is tuned to the radio. The leading Christian radio company operates about 100 stations serving more than 35 markets. Most of its stations offer Christian-themed talk shows and other religious programming, while others offer Christian music, country music, and traditional talk radio. The company also produces and syndicates religious programming through the Salem Radio Network, which boasts about 2,000 affiliates. In addition, Salem publishes books and magazines and operates the Salem Web Network, a provider of online Christian content. Chairman Stuart Epperson, CEO Edward Atsinger, and other family members control about 85% of the company.
