Kana Software thinks good customer service can be just one click away. The company's customer relationship management (CRM) software is used by call centers and e-commerce Web sites. Kana's software capabilities include customer service interaction through live Web chat, e-mail, telephone, and customer self-serve portals. It also offers applications that assist with and guide agents through conversations with customers. Kana Software serves companies in the telecommunications, manufacturing, financial services, and health care industries. In 2009 the company agreed to sell its assets and liabilities to Accel-KKR for about $49 million in cash.
