Those having a baby say hello to Evenflo. Named for a nursing device patented in 1935, the veteran company offers hundreds of items for the well-equipped baby and tot, including car seats, strollers, portable cribs, bath items, baby monitors, and feeding and safety products under the names Evenflo, ExerSaucer, and Snugli, among others. Its Web site offers parenting resources with safety recalls and child care information. Evenflo has international sales operations in Canada, Mexico, and the Philippines. The firm sells its products through specialty retailers and big box stores, such as Target and Wal-Mart. An affiliate of private equity firm Weston Presidio bought Evenflo from Harvest Partners in early 2007.
