Say good-bye to those cramped little boxes! Claimsnet.com has put the insurance claims process online. Founded in 1996, Claimsnet lets insurance companies and other health care payers log on to a Web site and file all claims information to doctors, provider organizations, and other medical and dental services providers. It collects transaction, implementation, development, license, and support fees for this service. In 2008 the company acquired Acceptius, a provider of data processing services catering to the health care industry; the deal allows Claimsnet to offer its customers conversion and claims repricing.
