"If you build it, they will come" could very well be SNC-Lavalin's motto. The group is an international leader in engineering and construction, with operations on every major continent in some 100 countries. It designs and builds chemical and petroleum plants, power generation and transmission systems, bridges, highways, mass transit systems, and water treatment plants. Projects include Canada's first liquefied natural gas regassification terminal, as well as agricultural land and water improvements in developing countries. It also provides operations and maintenance services, offers project management and financing, and invests in infrastructure facilities. Formed in 1911, SNC acquired rival Lavalin in 1991.
