By bus and by train, people arrive at work, home, and lots of other places with the help of Arriva. Along with rivals such as FirstGroup and Stagecoach, the company is one of the largest bus and rail operators in the UK. Its fleet, deployed in several regions, consists of about 7,000 vehicles, including more than 1,500 operating in London (some of which are devoted to The Original Tour sightseeing business). The company's UK rail franchises include CrossCountry (covers about 1,500 miles at more than 100 stations) and Arriva Trains Wales (running through Wales and the English border counties). Outside the UK, Arriva operates about 9,000 buses and 350 train sets across 11 European countries.
