Temporary engagements keep Vedior wedded to its profits. The world's #3 staffing company (behind Adecco and Manpower), Vedior fills temporary positions through its network of more than 2,200 offices on six continents. Its agencies cover professional positions such as accounting, engineering, IT, and health care, as well as typical assignments that include clerical and light industrial work. The company's divisions include Select (specialized staffing services), VediorBis (traditional staffing in France) and Vedior Europe (traditional staffing in other European countries). In a huge move for the staffing industry, Vedior has agreed to be acquired by one of its chief rivals, Randstad, for about $5.1 billion.
