Hollander Home Fashions may not come to mind as you lie in bed counting Little Bo Peep's flock, but perhaps it should. The company, a national leader in textile manufacturing, produces about 30 million pillows a year. In addition, Hollander makes blankets, down comforters, featherbeds, mattress pads, and other bedding products for the likes of Laura Ashley, Karen Neuberger, and Simmons. For years the firm generated private-label store brands for well-known retailers, including Wal-Mart and J. C. Penney. Its name-brand line is available at such retailers as Bed Bath & Beyond and Marshall's. Founded in 1953 by Bernard Hollander, the company is run by his grandson, Jeff.
