Formerly a part of South Korea's Daewoo Group "chaebol" (conglomerate), Doosan Infracore is carving its own niche as one of the country's largest construction equipment makers. It began by manufacturing excavators and then producing wheel loaders, tower cranes, concrete pump trucks, forklifts, engines, transmission systems, defense vehicles, and machine tool equipment. Its Ansan Parts Center stocks about 67,000 items to ensure after-sales support. The company has international operations through Doosan Infracore China, Doosan Infracore North America, and Doosan Infracore Europe. Formerly known as Daewoo Heavy Industries and Machinery, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction holds over 38% share in the company.
