Founded in 1947, Hanwa is the trading post of the Land of the Rising Sun. The company imports, exports, and sells steel products, including plate, sheet, pipe, wire, and bar. It also recycles nonferrous metals and sells construction, housing, and steel-making materials. Steel accounts for a majority of sales, with the balance of sales generated through diverse lines, such as amusement-park rides, cement, frozen seafood and meat products, industrial machines, lumber, and petroleum and chemicals. Hanwa has trading offices in the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
