It also is active in finance, logistics, and real estate, primarily condominium and office development. The group's top revenue producers are its automobile and construction equipment businesses, as well as its coal and metal products segments. Sumitomo Corporation is part of the Sumitomo "keiretsu", a group of companies loosely linked by cross-ownership. Other group companies include Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, Sumitomo Life Insurance, and electronics maker NEC.
