Man cannot live by bread alone. Neither could Japan's top flour producer, Nisshin Flour Milling Co. Ltd., which reorganized into the holding company Nisshin Seifun Group in 2001. The group's sectors include fresh and processed foods, animal feed, pet food, livestock farming, engineering, and pharmaceuticals. Nisshin Seifun Group's food brands include MaMa Macaroni and restaurants such as Annata (Italian bistros) and Dondo (noodle restaurants). It markets to the individual consumer and commercially. The company was founded in 1900; today it has operational divisions on three continents.
