This entertainment company has some Spidey sense. Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) -- the company that brought us the big screen version of the Marvel comic "Spider-Man" -- is the media/entertainment unit of Sony Corporation of America, the US arm of Japanese electronics giant Sony. SPE's movie unit Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group released 2007's Spider-Man 3, which broke records at the box office at the time. Additional recent titles include You Don't Mess With the Zohan and Hancock. Other holdings under the SPE umbrella include operations devoted to TV (Sony Pictures Television), DVD and home video (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment), and digital production (Sony Digital Production).
