Combining packaging technology with a modicum of complexity, Tekni-Plex manufactures packaging, industrial materials, specialty resins and tubing products for the food, healthcare, and consumer industries. The company's consumer packaging division makes foam egg cartons and plates, pharmaceutical blister films, poultry and meat processing trays, closure liners, and aerosol and pump packaging components. Its tubing products division manufactures irrigation and garden hoses, medical tubing, and pool and vacuum hoses. Tekni-Plex also makes PVC compounds and recycled PET (plastic) used in a variety of industrial products. Oaktree Capital Management and Avenue Capital Group of New York own 80% of the company.
