Why crawl the Web when others have done it for you? InfoSpace operates a portfolio of online search services that rely on metasearch search technology. Its Web sites, including Dogpile.com, WebFetch.com, MetaCrawler.com, and WebCrawler.com, query such leading search engines as Google, Yahoo!, and MSN, and then collates and ranks those search results. Its metasearch technology also powers third-party search services, such as Info.com. In recent years the company exited the mobile and directory businesses in order to focus on its online search services.
