This husky has a voracious appetite for oil. Husky Energy has emerged as one of Canada's largest oil and gas enterprises. The company's main energy assets are in Alberta and Saskatchewan, although it has oil and gas operations worldwide (including in China, Greenland, and Libya). It has net proved reserves of 470 million barrels of oil and bitumen, and 1.9 trillion cu. ft. of natural gas. The firm has more than 490 gas stations in Canada, as well as heavy oil upgrade Lloydminster. Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing and his flagship company, Hutchison Whampoa, control 36% and 35% , respectively, of Husky Energy. Li's son Victor is a co-chairman of Husky Energy.
