HRC Investors, operating as Holiday Retirement, wants its residents to feel like they're on a permanent vacation. One of the US's largest retirement community operators, it manages more than 300 residential communities primarily in the US and Canada for senior citizens who live an active, independent lifestyle. Its apartment facilities offer meal service, organized social activities, chauffeured transportation, and travel programs. Formerly a property owner, Holiday Retirement sold its portfolio to Fortress Investment Group. Holiday Retirement was founded as Holiday Management in 1971 by William Colson, who also founded sister company Colson & Colson, a senior housing contractor.
