Surgutneftegas knows that it's sure good to have oil and gas, and to have it in abundance. Based in the Siberian provincial city of Surgut, the company has emerged as one of Russia's largest integrated oil companies. Surgutneftegas has estimated proved reserves of 2.5 billion tons of oil equivalent, and produces 64.5 million tons of oil and 14.1 billion cubic meters of gas a year. The company owns and operates pipelines, refineries, about 300 gas stations, and oil storage tanks. Surgutneftegas also constructs power transmission lines and builds roads as part of its business operations.
