Integrated oil giant Rosneft conducts oil and gas exploration and production activities in Siberia, the Far East, the North Caucasus, Timan-Pechora, the Volga-Urals region, the Black, Caspian, and Azov Seas, and in Kamchatka. It also has exploration projects in Algeria, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan. In 2012 the Russian government-controlled company reported proved reserves of 24.2 billion barrels of oil equivalent, including 18.3 billion barrels of oil and 992 billion cubic meters of natural gas. It has seven refineries with an aggregate production of 1.1 million barrels a day. Rosneft also operates shipping and pipeline companies, as well as a national network of 1,650 gasoline stations.
