Hip-hop music has a home at The Source Enterprises. The company publishes The Source magazine, devoted to the worlds of rap and hip-hop music. The company also produces events such as The Source Hip-Hop Music Awards show and operates TheSource.com. In addition, The Source releases the Music: The Source Hip-Hop Hits compilation CD, and has produced two TV shows: The Source All-Access and The Source Sound Lab. Black Enterprise/Greenwich Street Growth Partners, the investment arm partially funded by the family of Earl Graves (founder of Black Enterprise magazine), took over operations at The Source after after the original owners defaulted on loans and payments to dozens of vendors.
