The smart cats at RADA Electronic Industries Ltd. chase down pesky bugs in aircraft electronics. RADA's test equipment for avionics is used by military and commercial customers worldwide, including the Israeli military (26% of sales) and GE Aviation, formerly Smiths Electronic (21%). CATS (commercial aviation test stations) products test power, audio, landing gear, and flight-control systems on aircraft. RADA also makes flight data recorders and other systems for flight debriefing and training. The company's chairman, Herzle Bodinger, formerly headed the Israeli Air Force.
