Budget Rent A Car, marketed to those who watch costs closely, rents cars from 1,850 locations in the same regions and trucks from 2,875 dealers in the US. Avis Budget Group, formerly known as Cendant, changed its name in 2006 after spinning off its hotel operations (Wyndham Worldwide) and its real estate division (Realogy) and selling its travel unit (Travelport).
