Owned by more than 2,300 dairy farmers in the northeastern US, Dairylea processes and markets 5.5 billion pounds of milk for its farmers annually to dairy-product customers including food manufacturers. Its Agri-Services holding company provides members with a full range of financial and farm-management services, as well as insurance. Its Empire Livestock Marketing unit operates eight regional livestock auction locations. Dairylea has a joint marketing venture (Dairy Marketing Services or DMS) with Dairy Farmers of America.
