Companies selling books and CDs might get the star treatment, but Ingram Entertainment doesn't mind a supporting role. The company is one of the largest independent video, DVD, and computer game distributors in the US. In addition, Ingram distributes software, audio books, electronics, and used videos and games. From some 15 sales and distribution centers, Ingram serves more than 10,000 video stores, mass retailers, drugstores, and supermarkets. The company also operates AccessIngram.com, a business-to-business e-commerce site, and creates and maintains personalized Web sites for its customers through its MyVideoStore.com offering. Ingram Entertainment was spun off from family-owned Ingram Industries in 1997.
