Pinnacle Foods has a mouthful of big-name brands. The company produces North American grocery store staples such as Mrs. Butterworth's, Log Cabin, and Country Kitchen (syrup, pancake mixes); Duncan Hines (baking mixes); Lender's (bagels); Van de Kamp's and Mrs. Paul's (fish sticks, anyone?); Vlasic and Milwaukee's (pickles); Chef's Choice (frozen skillet meals); and Celeste (frozen pizza). Pinnacle has grown by buying well-known brands and then expanding those brand lines by adding new products. In 2007 Pinnacle was acquired by the Blackstone Group for some $2 billion in cash and assumed debt.
