Autoliv, the world's #1 producer of car safety equipment, wants to help people in autos stay alive. The company hopes to save lives by increasing the survivability statistics for traffic accidents (500,000 people die every year in traffic accidents worldwide). Autoliv makes components such as seat belts, airbags, anti-whiplash systems, and safety electronics. Other products include rollover protection systems, steering wheels (with airbags), night vision systems, and child seats. Its major customers are Ford, Renault and Nissan (combined), General Motors, and Volkswagen. Autoliv gets about half of its sales in Europe.
