The family-owned construction and real estate company takes on commercial and civil engineering projects and offers design/build services through its flagship group, J.F. Shea Construction. The group's heavy civil engineering division builds tunnels and water treatment and water storage facilities. The company has seven other companies that offer residential construction and mortgage services, aggregate supply, concrete foundation construction and machinery, venture capital (investments include water management system developer HydroPoint, which dovetails with Shea's area of expertise), and golf courses.
