Folks who feel like something nostaglic for dinner can sit down at one of the more than a dozen Silver Diner restaurants in the Washington, DC/Baltimore metropolitan area and in New Jersey. The diners are replete with traditional diner décor such as polished stainless steel, glass blocks, and tabletop jukeboxes. With menus featuring time-honored diner fare (meatloaf, buttermilk pancakes, apple pie), the restaurants are open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night meals. Once a public company, Silver Diner was taken private in 2002.
