Grupo Iusacell is one of Mexico's leading mobile operators, sering about 3.5 million subscribers. The company provides cellular services reaching about 90% of Mexico's population, including Mexico City and licenses in the remaining regions. The company also offers local and long-distance telephony, paging, and data transport services. In 2003 Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group sold the company to Grupo Salinas' Movil@ccess. In 2007 Iusacell mergd with Unefon Holdings, another company owned by Grupo Salinas.
