Kilroy is still here, especially if you're referring to Southern California. A real estate investment trust (REIT), Kilroy Realty owns, manages, and develops office and industrial properties, mostly in suburban Orange County, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Its portfolio includes about 85 office and 45 industrial properties, including the Kilroy Airport Center in Long Beach and the Westside Media Center in Los Angeles. Of its more than 350 tenants, the REIT counts among its largest Intuit (about 7% of total rent) and Cardinal Health (some 4% of rent), as well as AMN Healthcare and DIRECTV. The company also develops properties for itself and for other parties. It owns about 12 million sq. ft. of rentable space.
