Callers, clickers, and cable aficionados connect with Tele2. Competing with former state telecommunications monopolies, the pan-European telecom operator provides fixed-line and mobile phone services, data transmission, and Internet access to more than 30 million customers in about 20 countries; more than half of those are mobile users. Tele2 operates under the brands Tele2, Tango, Comviq, and Q-GSM. Other Tele2 units provide systems integration (Datametrix), public phones and Internet access (Optimal Telecom and 3C Communications), billing and transaction services (Transac), prepaid calling cards (C3), and consumer routing devices (IntelliNet). The company also offers cable TV through its Kabelvision unit.
