COLT Telecom Group continues to jockey for position in the competitive European telecommunications market. The company's network links more than 30 of Europe's financial and business centers in 13 countries; it also operates in the US and India. COLT offers broadband data, Internet, voice, and other business telecom services to corporate customers and communications carriers. Its services include private leased circuits, Internet access, and carrier services such as frame-relay access, private enterprise network connections, and Web hosting. COLT has more than 50,000 customers, including BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, and Rentokil Initial. Financial services giant FMR controls nearly two-thirds of the company.
