Lehigh Hanson Company has a big crush on the concrete materials business. The company's Hanson Pipe & Precast division makes concrete pipes, manholes, and precast concrete products. Hanson Brick & Tile makes clay bricks and roofing tiles and is the largest brick manufacturer in the US. Its Hardscapes division makes decorative paving stones for landscaping. Lehigh Hanson has nearly 700 facilities in operation in the US and Canada. German construction materials firm HeidelbergCement acquired Lehigh Hanson Company's UK-based parent Hanson in 2007, creating one of the world's largest cement makers.
