There's nothing wan about this Obie. Obie Media sells advertising space on more than 7,000 vehicles in about 40 transit systems in the US and Canada. Obie also sells space on more than 1,100 billboards and outdoor displays in Washington, Montana, and other northwestern states; about 1,000 bus-stop benches in Portland, Oregon, and Fort Worth, Texas; and 100 transit shelters in Cincinnati. The company can design and produce displays for other customers with its own in-house staff. Chairman and CEO Brian Obie owns about a third of Obie, which has agreed to be acquired by #3 outdoor media firm Lamar Advertising.
