From aloe vera juice to chemotherapy drugs, Integrated BioPharma is making the most of plants. The company's Manhattan Drug subsidiary makes vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products for sale to distributors, and retailers including Herbalife International. It also sells its products under the Vitamin Factory brand direct to consumers by mail and on the Internet and provides raw material sourcing through its IHT Health Products subsidiary. The company also owns AgroLabs, which produces health beverages extracted from pomegranates, aloe vera, and other fruits. Its pharmaceuticals unit makes paclitaxel, a chemotherapy agent extracted from yew trees used to treat breast cancer.
