Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance knows the value of life. The company, formed by the 2004 merger of Meiji Life Insurance and Yasuda Mutual Life, is one of Japan's largest life insurers. It offers individual life and annuities, group life and pensions, and investment products. It formed subsidiary Meiji General Insurance in response to a Japanese law allowing firms to sell both life and nonlife insurance products. The company operates in Asia, Europe, and North America. It has alliances with Dresdner Bank and Dresdner's parent, Allianz. Prior to the merger, Meiji Life and Yasuda Mutual Life were part of the Mitsubishi Group and Mizuho Financial Group, respectively.
