SRS Labs keeps cooking up new ways to listen. The company, which made its name licensing sound technologies to chip makers, has expanded into Internet audio thanks to a deal with Microsoft based on its WOW audio enhancement technology. SRS Labs also licenses a variety of other audio, voice, and speaker technologies under such names as TruSurround and FOCUS. The company's SRSWOWcast subsidiary licenses Internet surround-sound streaming technologies. SRS Labs has transitioned from being a fabless semiconductor company to an intellectual property licensing firm. Customers in Asia -- including Samsung Electronics (28% of sales), Sony, and Toshiba -- account for 90% of sales.
