Its WebMD Web site offers a variety of content related to disease symptoms and treatment, as well as online services for finding doctors and storing personal health information. The company's Medscape unit, meanwhile, provides clinical references and other services for health care professionals. Both Web sites are advertiser supported. HLTH announced in 2009 plans to acquire the 20% of WebMD Health it doesn't already own.
