By land, by mail, or at the pharmacy counter, BioScrip gets medications to the people who need them. The company distributes biotech and other high-cost drugs (including injectable and intravenous drugs) to patients with chronic and life-threatening diseases such as HIV, multiple sclerosis, and cancer. It distributes the medicines through its own community pharmacies, home delivery services, and a specialty mail order pharmacy. Additionally, BioScrip offers pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services for such customers as managed care organizations, government agencies, and self-funded employer groups.
