Don't tune in to this TBS expecting to see the Atlanta Braves. One of Japan's leading commercial broadcasters, Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings (formerly Tokyo Broadcasting System) operates Tokyo's TBS television station, the hub of the company's Japan News Network with 28 affiliate stations. TBS produces such shows as Boko no Imouto (My Sister), Honcho Azumi, and Smile both for its network and for distribution outside Japan. The company also produces films and live events and distributes programming on DVD and through the Internet. In addition, TBS offers digital satellite service through Japan Digital Communications (BS-i) and it operates Japan Radio Network with almost 30 affiliates.
