When endotoxins seep in and sepsis sets in Spectral Diagnostics can prove it. The company's lead product is a endotoxin activity diagnostic product used to identify severe sepsis (infection). Other products include its RapidWN test for West Nile Virus. The company also provides biochemicals, including monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins, used in diagnostic procedures. During 2006 Spectral Diagnostics sold off its Cardiac STATus blood test kits used to detect proteins sloughed off during a cardiac episode.
